The Southern Conference announced today that Furman's Nicole Palazzo has been named the volleyball player of the week for November 5.
Palazzo, a junior from Grayson, Ga., had 37 kills, 9 blocks and a hitting percentage of .405 in two matches last week. Palazzo had 13 kills against Wofford and 24 kills against Chattanooga with a hitting percentage of .512 against the Lady Mocs. Palazzo leads the Southern Conference in hitting percentage at .359 and in blocks with 1.43 a game.
This is Palazzo's third player of the week award. She leads her team in total blocks with 142. Palazzo is 27th in the country in blocks and 52nd in the country in hitting percentage.
