GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Furman women's tennis team has earned a 68th-place ranking in the latest ITA poll, released Tuesday.

Since the last ranking, the Paladins were defeated by #9 Vanderbilt by a score of 7-0.

Junior Laura Gioia has earned an individual ranking of 84th place, improving on her 93rd-place ranking, released on March 4. Gioia earned two straight wins at number one singles to help the Paladins to a 2-0 start to the conference season, and improving her own record to 12-1 on the season. Gioia's only loss came to #35 Amanda Taylor of Vanderbilt.

The Paladins take the court on Thursday with a trip to Chattanooga to continue Southern Conference play.
