The Furman women's tennis team has risen to a no. 65 ranking in the latest ITA team poll, released yesterday.
Ranked 71st last week, the Paladins earned decisive wins over Elon and Georgia Southern to begin Southern Conference play with a 2-0 record.
Furman junior Laura Gioia and freshman Monica Arguello are also ranked in the ITA singles poll, 93rd and 108th, respectively. The next individual poll will be released on March 18.
Furman will travel to Vanderbilt on Thursday to take on the #9 Commodores in the team's last non-conference road match of the season. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. The Paladins are currently 8-4 overall and 2-0 in the Southern Conference.
