The 2006 SoCon Tournament MVP, Baird clinched Furman's conference title with her singles win over Davidson's Meredith Skeeters. Baird is a great athlete who doesn't make a lot of errors on the tennis court. She continues to work on becoming a more versatile player.

Baird tallied the most singles wins of anyone on the team last year, posting a 20-5 overall mark primarily at the No. 5 position. She earned second-team All-SoCon honors for her 9-0 league record. Baird has not lost a match to a conference opponent since her freshman year, going 6-0 as a sophomore and winning her last four appearances in the league tournament. As a rookie, Baird earned singles wins over South Carolina, Syracuse and North Carolina, while posting a 7-1 SoCon mark.

Prep/Personal: Baird led Broughton to four consecutive state titles, earning MVP honors as a freshman. She was a singles state finalist in ninth and tenth grade and she won the doubles state championship in her final year. She achieved a No. 2 ranking in N.C., and was an ITA semifinalist in 2002. Bonnie is the daughter of Frank and Nancy Baird and was born on May 3, 1985. She is majoring in business and is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
