Hilea Helps Furman To Sixth Place Finish At UA-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate

Tuscaloosa, Ala. -- Jaclyn Hilea carded a one-over-par 72 to help Furman record a final round 299 and sixth place finish at the University of Alabama-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate at the par-71 Northriver Golf Course on Sunday.

A freshman from Kaneohe, Hawai'i, Hilea (76-77-72=225) birdied three holes on the front nine to improve to 12-over and finish in a tie for 19th place. Fellow freshman Stefanie Kenoyer (69-75-73=217) posted a two-over-par final round to register a career-best third place finish in a field that included seven of the top 35 players in the country.

Top-ranked Stacy Lewis (68-76-69=213) of Arkansas claimed individual honors and led her team to the tournament title at even-par for the three-round event. So-Hyun Park of Notre Dame finished second at two-over with Kenoyer in third at four-over.

Arkansas notched a final round 291 to finish eight strokes ahead of second place Auburn. Florida, Notre Dame and Louisville rounded out the top five in front of sixth place Furman. The Lady Paladins finished ahead of six schools ranked in the top 50 and four of the five teams in front of Furman entered the weekend ranked in the top 20.

Junior Blair Lamb (75-71-75=221) joined Kenoyer in the top 10 with a seventh place finish. Lamb concluded the tournament eight strokes off of the pace.
