Lauren Allen Position: Assistant Coach Experience: 1st year at Furman Alma Mater: Clemson University, 2006

Lauren Allen joins the Paladin staff after a year as assistant women's basketball coach at LaGrange College in Georgia.

A 2006 graduate of Clemson University, Allen was a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers. During her senior year, Allen set or tied career highs in nine statistical categories.

Allen played high school ball at Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Ga. She was the DeKalb County Player of the Year in 2000 and a four-time all-county selection. Allen was nominated for the 2002 McDonald's All-American team.

"I am very excited to have Lauren in the program," said head coach Sam Dixon. "She has a very bright future in college coaching and we are looking forward to great things from her here at Furman."
