One-Time Payments
Annual gifts can be made with cash, check, or credit card. You may make your gift in person at the Paladin Club office, by mail, via phone, or online through a secure transaction.
Automatic Bank Draft
The Paladin Club can draft your bank account at monthly intervals with a copy of a voided check or deposit slip.
Matching Gifts
There are numerous employers who will graciously match contributions that are made to charitable or educational organizations by their employees. These matching contributions will be applied toward your annual membership level in the Paladin Club. Contact your employer or the Paladin Club to inquire about whether your company participates in the matching gift program.
Gifts of Stock
A gift of appreciated stock is a tremendous way of supporting the Paladin Club while at the same time receiving numerous tax advantages.
Planned Giving
Consider naming the Paladin Club as beneficiary of your estate or life insurance policy. Upon the donor's death, a scholarship can be established or a gift can be made to the Paladin Club. This is an excellent means by which to support the Paladin Club while not having to feel the financial effects while you are living. A planned giving representative will be happy to discuss bequests, charitable remainder and lead trusts, charitable gift annuities and other planned giving opportunities that are available to you. Each of these giving avenues provides tax relief to you and your loved ones as well.
Endowed Scholarships
Endowing an athletic scholarship is a wonderful way to honor or memorialize a loved one. The minimum amount required by Furman to begin an endowed scholarship is $20,000. Once gifts to the endowment reach $100,000, the name of the endowed scholarship will be engraved on the base of the statue at Paladin Plaza. Endowment gifts ensure future success for Paladin Athletics. These gifts are invested and a pre-determined portion of the dividend is used each year to fund athletic scholarships.
Gifts of Real Property
Gifts of land or houses to the Paladin Club are also excellent means of support and have invaluable tax benefits.
