A high school teammate of Robert Bruner, Olson is a seasoned player who knows how to win.
During his freshman season, Bruner had no problem defeating his opponent from Washington & Lee, 6-1, 6-1. He teamed with Ryan Friend in doubles action, with his only loss coming to Indiana.
Prep/Personal: Olson led Highland Park to state championships for three consecutive years, earning the singles title to cap off his senior season. He was a two-time doubles runner-up in his sophomore and junior years. Olson earned All-America status in his final prep season as well. In 2005, Olson took fifth place in the Texas Open. The previous year he won the National 16 Open in doubles in Midland, Texas. Olson's highest USTA ranking was seventh in the state of Texas and top 200 in the nation. Eric is the son of Eric Olson and Laurie Clark and was born on October 28, 1987. He intends to major in health and exercise science.
