This southpaw has a great team attitude and a strong respect for his teammates and the game. Basile is continuing to push his abilities to the next level.
As a sophomore, Basile teamed with Ethan Asher to defeat Sanford/Bunn of Washington & Lee 8-4 in doubles action.
Basile didn't lose any matches as a freshman, winning handily in singles against Erskine and Sewanee. He also teamed with Ethan Asher to top Washington & Lee and Sewanee in doubles competition.
Prep/Personal: Basile won the Palmetto Doubles Championship in 2003 and 2005 and also advanced to the doubles quarterfinal of the National Clay Courts. He was honored with the National Clay Courts Sportsmanship Award. Basile was born on January 29, 1987 and is the son of Jan and Jo Ellen Basile. A psychology major, Basile is also a member of
Sigma Alpha Epsilon and the Athletic Service Board. When not playing tennis he can be found cheering on the basketball team as the Paladin mascot.
