Greenville, S.C. -- The Furman men's golf team will host the 39th annual Furman Intercollegiate this Friday through Sunday, March 28-30, at the par 72, 6,800-yard Furman University Golf Course.
This year's field features 24 teams, including Clemson, South Carolina, Chattanooga, Vanderbilt, Ohio State and defending tournament champion Virginia Tech. The 54-hole tournament opens on Friday with second round play set for Saturday and the final round scheduled for Sunday. Each round will tee-off at 8 a.m.
The list of past individual winners at the Furman Intercollegiate includes Curtis Strange, Jay Haas, Mark Calcavecchia, Brad Faxon of Furman, Billy Andrade, David Duval and Matt Kuchar. Elon's Jayson Judy (71-71-69=211) captured individual medalist honors in 2007.
