Furman: Returning starting quarterback who will look to build on a productive but injury plagued junior campaign...possesses a strong, accurate arm and good speed when healthy...a return to form looms as potentially one of the biggest keys to Furman's chance for notable success this fall...will serve as a team co-captain. 2006 -- Took over for graduated All-Southern Conference and record setting quarterback Ingle Martin, a fifth round draft selection of the Green Bay Packers...performed exceptionally well in streches but was hampered by injuries for much of the campaign....still managed to start in 10 of 12 games, helping Furman go 8-4 , earn a playoff berth, and finish ranked No. 12 in The Sports Network national poll...passed for 1,184 yards and four touchdowns...sustained a sprained foot a week prior to Furman's season opener against Jacksonville State and played a little less than a half in the Paladins' eventual 17-13 win...two weeks later fashioned perhaps his best performance of the season, passing for 310 yards (20x26, O INT) and a touchdown in a 45-42 loss to North Carolina...keyed a Paladin offensive unit that compiled three 80-plus yard second half scoring drives en route to a 521-yard outing against the Tar Heels...two weeks later rushed for one score and completed 10-of-12 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown in a solid 35-21 win at Wofford...sustained an ankle sprain and was forced to the sideline in the first quarter the following week against Coastal Carolina (29-27 loss)...sat out the next two games against The Citadel (23-17 win) and Chattanooga (28-22 OT win), giving way to redshirt freshman signal caller Jordan Sorrells...returned to earn starts in the Paladins' final four games (2-2). 2005 -- Served as the backup to All-Southern Conference signal caller Ingle Martin...appeared in eight games and completed 10-of-27 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns...also ran 18 times for 86 yards and a pair of scores...recorded the most impressive work of his career in the fourth quarter of the Paladins' eventual 39-31 triple overtime win at The Citadel...with Furman trailing 21-7 and Martin sidelined with leg cramps, came off the bench to rally the Paladins with a pair of fourth quarter touchdown drives to force overtime...first score came on a 30-yard touchdown pass to Justin Stepp to complete an 11-play, 87-yard drive...two possessions later engineered an 11-play, 64-yard drive that ended with a Jerome Felton 1-yard touchdown run that tied the game with 48 seconds left...scored on a 1-yard run in the first overtime period and directed the Paladins to scores in the second and third overtime frames. 2004 -- Served as the Paladins' No. 3 quarterback behind Ingle Martin and backup Bo Moore...actually saw limited time as a reserve tailback...sustained a high ankle sprain early in the early going and did not see his first action until the season's seventh game -- a 33-14 win over The Citadel...tallied seven rushes for 16 yards and scored a two-point conversion in the Paladins' SoCon title clinching 51-31 win over Chattanooga. 2003 -- Member of scout team...awarded redshirt and extra year of eligibility.

High School: 2003 graduate of Greenwood High School, where he played under the legendary Shell Dula...made the rare move from tight end to quarterback his senior year...responded by earning All-Lakelands and all-region honors after throwing for a school record 2,431 yards and helping his squad to a 10-3 record, region championship, and semifinal finish in 4A state playoffs...also rushed for 630 yards to finish with 3,061 yards in total offense in 2002...participated in South Carolina North-South All-Star Game...earned all-region offensive and defensive honors on 10-3 region championship team in 2001, tallying 40 receptions for 600 yards and 12 touchdowns along with 45 tackles, including 10 for-loss...had touchdown catch in Greenwood's state championship game victory to complete a 13-2 campaign...program did not lose a region game during his four-year career.
