GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Saturday's re-scheduled Furman-High Point baseball game has been canceled due to heavy afternoon rains in the Greenville area, and the teams will now play a Sunday doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Furman Stadium, head coach Ron Smith has confirmed.

Furman's expected starters in Sunday's twinbill are senior right-hander Mason Smith (2-0, 1.17 ERA) and freshman right-hander Chris Newell (0-1, 3.00 ERA).

The Paladins captured game one of the originally scheduled four-game series on Friday night by a 10-1 score.
