Furman: Respected right-hander who completed a successful comeback last year after missing almost two full seasons of play following Tommy John surgery early in his prep senior campaign...may compete for a role as a Sunday starter or once again as a mid-week starter...changeup is his top pitch and ranks among the best on Furman's staff. 2007 -- Fashioned a solid return from injury by going 3-1 with a 4.86 earned run average...made 12 appearances, including eight starts...thrived in his role as mid-week starter over the final six weeks of the season, going 3-0 with a 3.66 ERA in six starts...was especially effective against left-handers (.196, 10x51)...registered his longest outing of the season (5.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) against East Tennessee State (4-3 loss) but failed to get the win after Paladin bullpen yielded a two-out, two-run home run in the eighth inning...wins came against UNC-Asheville (5.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB), Charleston Southern (4.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K), and Georgia State (3.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB). 2006 -- Sat out the entire season due to ongoing rehabilitation efforts following arm surgery.

High School: 2005 graduate of Tampa (2A) Preparatory School...baseball coach was A.J. Hendrix...pitched and played center field during his prep career...did not pitch his senior year due to tear in UCL of pitching elbow...earned all-conference as a pitcher his junior year after notching a 2.08 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 67 1/3 inning...helped lead his team to a district championship.
