The Furman men's track team finished 12th, while the women posted an 11th place finish at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
The Furman men were led by junior Patrick Morgan, whose time of 3:56.74 was good for a first-place finish in the 1,500m event. Jeff O'Connell recorded another top-ten finish for the Paladins with a seventh-place mark of 9:59.00 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
The women recorded seven top-ten finishes to finish 11th overall in the invitational. The Paladins were led by senior Page Bridges' fourth-place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase and the 4x400 meter relay team's fourth-place finish with a time of 4:05.22.
Also running for the Paladins this weekend was junior Alex Plasencia, who finished first in the 5,000m run with a time of 15:12.48, competing at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami, Fla.
The Paladins will compete again next weekend at the Emory Invitational.
