The women from the 2007-08 Furman Cheerleadering squad were the opening act for the 2008 Dance Spectacular. The Dance Spectacular was held on Friday, April 18th in McAlister Auditorium on the campus of Furman University; the show began at 8:00 pm. The cheerleaders started the show by performing a two-minute dance to a mixture of music, including "Fuego" by Pitbull.

The Dance Spectacular is an annual event showcasing the wide variety of dance talent from Furman students and guest professionals. There is no other showcase like this at Furman. It provides students with dance talent an outlet and opportunity to perform. Every genre of dance is included.
